    Refeed/Cheat Days in a bulk?

Is there still a need and/or benefit to doing a weekly refeed/cheat day in a bulk?

I'm starting my bulk yesterday at a 300 calorie surplus.

Curious if advised or not in a bulk or if there is a benefit or not to it?

Got to do something not to go crazy.

I like to do kinda a reverse or fasting day when bulking. So my. Gut has time to heal.

    Unexpected response, but interesting.

There is nothing to 'refeed' if you are in a surplus.

Have as many cheats as you want but every time you do you will be in a more than 300cal surplus.

Basically I like doing one day where I fast and let my gut heal for a day. Let it break down what's in there, and let it all take a break. For me, surplus would be in the 3500 ckal range if you figure in exercise and cardio. That's a lot of food to push through the gut.

    Totally makes sense.

I don't count calories burned towards 'earning' more calories. So, my daily bulk is a consistent 3100 right now. My TDEE puts my maintenance at about 2800, so it's a moderate 10% increase for my bulk to minimize fat gain but maximize muscle gain.

If I don't gain 1/2 pound average per week, then I'll increase to 500 cal surplus total. If I gain too much, I'll increase cardio from the 3x weekly biking sessions.

Since I'm not into such a surplus, I'm not sure a fasting type day is ideal, but it does make sense, especially into a larger surplus.

Makes sense. Just wanted to be sure there wasn't a refeed need to keep the metabolism from becoming too efficient.

A couple of cheat meals I would say is fine. Just make sure your adding in the calories. If your bulking it could be an advantage to do so.
