Now the only problem is that the same can be said of taking narcotics for pain relief, however physicians are not allowed to prescribe themselves narcotics for pain relief as its a lot easier to say no to a patient than the man in the mirror. The same holds true for TRT, how many people do you know who are doing their own TRT that are only using 75-100 mgs a week and actually determine their correct dosage based on bloodwork ? I would not be at all suprized if there are not simalar rules on self prescibing TRT by physicians.
I can tell you from my own experience that I am on selfprescribed TRT and my dosage is substantially above the accepted norms.
So anyway I don't think its a matter of knowlege although that certainly can be an issue also, but rather a matter of control.
