My stats are currently,38 yrs old 5'11 200 ibs 17 % bf, Free test 6.2/29ng/dl .Total test 271/790ng/dl
My goal is not to be huge.I want to raise my test levels, loose bodyfat and gain 10 pounds of muscle.
Can i self medicate trt?My urologist and regular doc wont do anything for me.
I have hit the gym now for 2.5 years .I have lost alot of bodyfat, but at this piont i have defenetly hit a wall.Any tips?

Read the posts about nebido if you are thinking the self medication route. Very promising with great results verified by board members. Mine just came in and about to jump on.

I should mention my stats are similar to yours. 5'11 210 16%, 39 years old. 4-5 moderate cycles completed over 4 years with proper pct. I have had a very hard time recovering right from the first cycle and made the decision to lift this dark cloud. My free test is that of a 90 year old and my total test last blood draw was 291.

At 38, imo, you're not losing anything by self medicating unless you one day want to have kids/more kids.

agree with bigRon
youre a little older than I and similar hormone levels and many others that have gotten a script
other than the legality or security of whats really in your gear(throw that out) and what's the diff wether u self medicate or not...if your also doing labwork i dont see the diff..
did your doctor(s) check your other levels thyroid, psa, etc...did you only do one blood test....

Not bad advice. Educate yourself on trt if you truly need it. See another dr. If you have the ability. They can waste slot of your time and money if you get the typical treatment.
-test cream that seems not to work for anyone long-term and it is very expensive.
-then cyp injections that are too small and three weeks apart.
-next, every week injections at their office. Real convenient but they keep making money.
-finally after basically begging you will be able to dose at home. Now you stuck with two injections/week forever.
-all of this above will waste about 6 months to a year minimum and countless$.
Nebido is 4-5 injections a year and again the studies which go up to 8-9 years have yielded amazing results.

I have the some question you have. But for me who never cycle before was hard to just buy some test and shot myself, so I decided to go TRT, have some legal medicine, syringe, be familiar with the compounds, any problems just call the doctor, knowing my body, how he respond to ever thing, and eventually when I'm familiar with, I will run I cycle, then go back in trt.

I agree with Jumper! call a clinic and get started that way if you go TRT rout, which i am sure most likely you will based on your test levels! at 51 my levels were higher than yours and hit a brick wall, couldn't put on muscle or lose fat, so i decided to got TRT rout, and i am loving it!

You are talking cash.....I am talking health...health trumps cash.
Self medicating with test can seriously impact your health if you don't do it correctly. He needs good Endo, blood work done, look at HCG therapy to get levels up. TRT requires regular blood tests to keep an eye on any problems that may develop as a result of the medication(HCT,Hemogolin, hemocrit, E2 and BP) prostrate checks and then factors such as maintaining your fertility, all of which require a Doctor.
I'm not on TRT or do I know anything really about it, but I try to use common sense.

The way I see it anyone with a sound mind can read up on TRT and order their own bloodwork and define a good TRT program, its simply not that complicated...KEEP READING
Now the only problem is that the same can be said of taking narcotics for pain relief, however physicians are not allowed to prescribe themselves narcotics for pain relief as its a lot easier to say no to a patient than the man in the mirror. The same holds true for TRT, how many people do you know who are doing their own TRT that are only using 75-100 mgs a week and actually determine their correct dosage based on bloodwork ? I would not be at all suprized if there are not simalar rules on self prescibing TRT by physicians.
I can tell you from my own experience that I am on selfprescribed TRT and my dosage is substantially above the accepted norms.
So anyway I don't think its a matter of knowlege although that certainly can be an issue also, but rather a matter of control.

Thanks for all replys!
I will probably try getting i touch with a clinic.
I have a psa test coming up next week ,for peice of mind.I do not have any immidiate plans on starting trt or a cycle. It is great though to be able to read through all the responses ,to make the right choices.
when the time comes.

Agreed ,that is a great post.
Part of the reason i am here is to gain the knowledge, so as not to get hurt.
That being said at what point does trt become a narcotic ,so to speak.Maybe through the knowledge of others, a reasonable program can be set up?
Including bloodwork, dosage .I really think doctors are to far conservative when it comes to treating a low ''t'' condition. Its up there with medical mariuana.Far to controversial to deal with!

From my experience it takes multiple blood work tests to determine your proper amount of test. I am on blood work number 4 and I started trt in November and still not exactly sure what my dosage should be. However I started with a quack for a doctor. Now I use an Endo who is conservative but good. My advice if you do self medicated take your time, start low and work your way up, test every 4 weeks until you get a decent level. Scratch that...with your test levels keep looking for a good Endo...there are plenty out there and if you have insurance it will save you $$$$$

Finding an Endo in your area ,who wont waste your time can be a challenge.
