Estradiol
Hello I am taking trt 0.5 once a week, and hcg 25 units 3 times a week. I am on my 7th week.i am taking this for low T,ED.I am not seeing any improvement as far as erections. Also after doing research,i learned that my Estradiol should be less than 40.but I am also seeing that it should be less than 30,I am at 35. I was recently looking at an older lab results from 2011 when I found out about Estradiol levels. My concern is should I see results now for my ED,and should I be on medication for high Estradiol.

Without knowing more about your situation, I think it's hard to guess.
How much test are you on? You mentioned .5 but .5 what?
What are your stats? Age, height, weight, bodyfat, etc.?
What are your other levels (from your bloodwork)?
Estrogen (estradiol) can be a pain and is the hardest thing to dial in. But there are many things which cause ED so not sure what it could be.
Also, 7 weeks in isn't that long yet. Many people say you don't, "feel," the effects of TRT until months or even a year later. I'm not totally sure about that as I felt them fairly immediately (within a couple of weeks). However, I'm about 6 months in and am feeling more every day.
Many other smarter people will chime in (I'm sure). There are other questions they may ask as well.

^^^What these gents said. If you gave more info, we'd be able to be more useful to you. Yes, out of control estradiol levels can cause ED issues but let's take it a step at a time and see your lab results. You have lots of options but they are all contingent on what your labs say. When you post your blood work, include the ranges.

Estradiol is very difficult to dial in at the beginning. Info we need is labs with ranges, your protocol in grams, iu's , frequency etc. my estradiol was at 38 and the range is <39. A slight adjustment with my Anastrozole helped out. Even though I was 1 point under the scale, but I do well a little lower. We also need your age, height, weight and body fat.

1/2 ml of testosterone x1 a week.
25 units of hcg x3 a week.

The vial you pull your testosterone out of should say xxxmg/ml. Where xxx is the strength per each ml (volume). Not all test vials are the same strength. Most likely you are using 200mg/ml.
You could help lower your estrogen by splitting your shot into 2x a week instead of just once. So on Sunday, you would inject 1/4ml and on Wednesday you would inject another 1/4ml.
Technically, you could easily split your one injection into 1/3 and inject with your HCG since you are already injecting that 3x a week.
Bloodwork numbers and ranges would also be helpful here. We need more info than you are giving.
Also, what is your height, weight and body fat?

Estradiol is secondary by a mile. What is your E2 level. KelKel can chime in on the estradiol not being much of an indicator while E2 is the primary.

35 isn't bad if you're using quest labs range. I would split your test into 50 mg twice a week as Dante indicated, and two of your three HCG shots done the day prior to your test. Until you get full labs done that is all I would do. Trt takes time to get dialed in and to feel the full effects. You can also help yourself tremendously by getting your diet in order with a good exercise routine. L Arginine is a really good supplement to add to your protocol.

You need a "Sensitive Estrogen Assay" to know exactly where you level is. Especially if an AI is considered. Reason is basically that the standard estradiol test is geared for women and it's on a bell curve. The mans portion on this "curve" is basically to low to read which is why the test should be specific for males to obtain the proper range.
Think of it this way:
The standard estradiol test is simply not "sensitive enough" to be accurate for males. Which is why most standard estradiol tests read significantly higher than their sensitive counterpart.
Erectile dysfunction is far more than just testosterone levels . That said, give it time and get dialed in and I'm sure things will stand up to be counted. It's not a bad idea to do some monthly testing of some of the basic components so adjustments can be made.Last edited by kelkel; 04-30-2014 at 08:33 AM.

I agree with Kels comment that ED is about more that just test levels

There was an interesting discussion on the subject of ED some months ago, which I took part in. You might want to take a look:
