Erectile Dysfunction - need advise please

Hey Guys

i need a good advise and i am do upset as i dont know what to do. Now i am completly lost.

few years ago i was a healthy man, sex was a pleasure and libido was high. Then 2 years ago i realized that i had the erectile dysfunction. i went to a doctor and he took it really lightly and reaised the possibility that this may be the mental issue. He gave me some Viagra and i took half of the tabet (50 mg) as advised and it worked, made me the happiest person in the world. But after 1 month i failed to have sex again with the viagra even (i wasn't using the pill every day, probobly twice a week). Then my doctor increased the dose to 100mg, worked but just for 3 more weeks then again same problem. Doctor gave me cialis, worked but only for 2 months, then he gave me levetra which worked for 1 moth then my stupid penis was down. I was going nuts, i was sad, i took my penis in my hand and screamed at it. The doctor also did my bloodwork at the start and said all was good. When these pills stopped working I requested him to please refer me to a specialist as i may have low test levels (i am not a doctor but i knew it was my test levels or estrongen level causing the issue), he denied and gave me prescriptions of all three pills with 5 tries each and adviced me to mix them up in a way that when one stops working start taking the other one. well it was a hell but i made a schdule and noted down takes for each pill and when they stop working, next 9, 10 months were like hell, i had no energy, my body Shape gone bad, well the whole year passed like success and failure in sex with these pills, mixing pills etc than 3 months ago it just stopped. Everything, nothing was working, even i didnt have sex for a month to increase my libido but even after a month there was still no sex, i was down.. Got desperate and took double viagra dose 200mg (nothing happened, not even a raising heartbeat).

I went back to doctor and heard that he is retired now so they put me to another doctor, he seems to be a little bit open minded but yeah wait for it. He gave me same prescription and i insisted that these pills are not working and i am not going to buy expensive pills when they are not working also my erectile dysfuction ED is getting wrose then he adviced blood test. After few days i got a call from hospital telling me that the doctor has seen the Results and everything is normal and advised to continue using prescribed tablets. well i said ok. Then after 2 weeks i recieved tests results at home address and it was written on it (in bold) "please check with your GP as your test results are not normal". i called the hospital again and they booked my appointment with the doctor again. I requested doctor that my ED is going worse please help me. Doctor said ok he can give me some testosterones just to check if it works and only for testing purposes. He said if this works then he will talk to an expert to see why it works. Now here is a tricky part, he gave me 250mg dose every 4 weeks. I tried to start conversation about the dose and off course some HCG and AI but he interupted and said no this one injection is just for testing. I said ok assuming that an argument here may piss him off and he might say "no trt" where TRT is my last hope now.
Ok so i got 250mg one injection, there is another funny part, the nurse injected the oil in my body and took the needle out so quick which caused big amout of oil just came out, so i believe i actually got 180mg or 200mg of total testosterone in my body, well i said no worries lets move on, This injection stopped my natural production (well doctor didnt tell me but i knew that so i wasnt surprised).

Week 1: no libido, no sex intrest, good mood (hopeful and happy)
Week 2: no libido, no sex intrest (mood down, desperate)
Week 3: libido comes and goes, little libido for 5 mins then no libido at all , little intrest in sex (mood down, bit angry, worried)
Week 4: I am horney (more then i have been ever before) and have some energy to go to gym in afternoon (before i had no energy and i was dead) i know it takes 6 weeks but not sure how i got energy in 4 weeks. i havent tried sex yet so dont know how eould that be.

i believe that in some men it takes about 6 weeks for test to kick-in properly although i am worried that on this low dose it wont make any difference. The recomended dose should be 100 to 120 every week and should not be 250mg every 4 weeks.

below are my test results taken in January.
ANDROGENS (serum)
Testosterone (10.0 - 25.0) nmol/L : 16.1
SHBG (10 to 50) nmol/L: 22
Calculated free testo. (225 - 725) pmol/L : 395
FAI (20.0 - 160.0): 73.2

test levels look ok.

just in case if you guys think its a mental issue, its not. at the start i didnt even care if i was going down, i started to think about it when this started to happen more often. i also tried callgirls to test if i have any kinda performance anxity but did not perform even with callgirls.

The other thing is i can reach the erection but i cant keep it more then 10 to 15 secs even though i am still horney extremely horney sometimes but my penis goes down after 10 to 15 secs. The only time it stays up for longer is when i am on top of the girl, but still only for 60 to 80 secs at the max. Then it will go down even i am still horney.

During masterbation, almost the same case when i touch myself my penis goes up for little longer, approximatly 80 secs while i m touch myself it goes down even i am extremly horney and leaves me rubbing a soft penis. if i keep rubbing the soft penis then its on my luck, sometimes it goes up again for 30 secs i suppose and mostly i use that time to cum before it goes soft and leaves me horney again.

hope this explains everything, my questions are the following

1. Do i have Low Test levels please reconfirm
2. Should i ask my doctor to fix my trt does from 250 E4W to 100 EW
3. Should i stop taking the trt as its not low test etc
4. what should i tell my doctor?

and guys please be positive, other people scaring the sh it out of me telling me that i should not hsve got trt injection and my natural production will never restore now.

please help my life is fcked up and my relationship will be fcked up soon if this keeps hsppening.

Is the blood work that you posted after the test injection? Can you post your complete BW? What is your E2 level? Prolactin?

I think your T levels could still be higher, and since your SHBG is on the low side your FT should go up as long as the SHBG stays the same, so see if you can get the Dr to try 100mg weekly injections. Low or high E2 can decrease your libido as well, as can high prolactin levels. Libido is as much psychological as it is physiological, so you might want to consider something like low dose Deprenyl (2.5mg daily) to boost dopamine levels, which is known to increase motivation and libido. Dostinex is another medication that is a dopamine agonist, and it decreases the refractory period by reducing prolactin levels. Lastly, I would see an anti-aging or HRT specialist who is open to using HCG and Arimidex, as I've heard nothing but horror stories as far as endos and urologists.

...also: are you taking any SSRIs, are you getting enough sleep, are you consuming excessive alcohol or caffeine, is your life stressful, etc. as they can all contribute to low libido and ED.

These tests was taken before the injection. Doctor said this is for testing but 250mg E4W is pretty low for testing even. Now i am also not sure why doctor gave me testosterone injection when my test levels were fine.

These are the only test i have, no other test were taken.

i am not taking any medication, no SSRIs, i get at least 7 to 8 hours sleep every night and on weekends its about 10 to 12 hours. i dont drink so no alcohol, i also dont drink coffee so no caffeine. I have a great job, i am financial good, i have the best girl, i have no reason to stress. The only stress in my life is this ED issue now.

If my test levels were ok there was no need of the injection, if i ask doctor 100mg EW and if he agrees then still do you think it will make a difference? as my test levels were fine. People are scaring me and telling me that i should not get the next injection as testosteron was not my issue and after gettung this injection i have fcked up my system which may not restore the natural production now.

I wouldn't do TRT unless you were below 400 and had already tried every lifestyle and natural way to boost T. Once you start TRT, it's a lifelong commitment, so make sure the benefits outweigh the costs. Your T levels aren't terrible, but they could be higher. I would definitely check your E2 and prolactin, and consider trying Deprenyl and/or Caber (Dostinex).

Do you have copies of blood work before your symptoms of ED began? It would be good to get a baseline reading to compare as the labs you supplied don't look so bad. I'm sure others with greater knowledge will comment but I'd say this to anyone who is going through what you are: However bad it seems, there is an answer waiting. For every problem, there is always a solution. Always.w It would be a cruel world that only gave problems without having the solutions available somewhere. And from my experience, you WILL find the answer. It might take some digging, but you'll find it. I'm certain that the more knowledgeable members here will help with that.

TheheT, many thanks. I will request my doctor tomorrow for E2 and prolactin tests. I have taken one TRT injection, what will happen if I leave it and how long will this take to restore my natural production. Will I be able to perform sex during that time, as I already have ED. Also you said you won't recommend TRT if test levels are about 400, in my case they are 395 which is lower thn 400. What is your advise. Although I am getting a little energy with the injection, before I was like dead and tired all the time but after this injection I feel healthy and active. Motivated to do gym where before it was soooo hard to pick myself up to do something.

Advice - if a doctor gives you a shot of testosterone and expects anything to happen from this single shot, leave and find another doctor.

You're fighting a losing battle with typical doctors that know nothing about hormones or that hormones can even be a problem. They will continue to throw pills at you and/or randomly inject testosterone. "Find out why it works" is he not the doctor?????

Find another doctor and stop wasting your time with this one. You need to get complete blood work that tests everything. Get a print out then post the results.

exactly right. thank you so much for your reply, i am strugling to find a right doctor for 2 years. i suffered 2 whole years, if i had a good doctor at the start my ED issue would have been better if not fixed. i have no idea what to do, i am in a small town of Australia where no doctor understands the sexual problems. if i fly to other cities for my treatment it will cost me an arm and leg. Its so bad here in australia when it comes to sexual issues, not like if australian men dont have sexual issues but i am not sure why there is very limited knowledge (it can be my observation). i will ask him tomorrow to refer me to a specialist, if he agrees. i have been screaming for 2 years on 3 doctors asking them to get my full panel done but its like they dont understand and keep giving me PDE5.

Aussie made, thanks for your reply, i am in Darwin and its so hard to find a doctor who understands or knows something about sexual issues such as ED. Do you have any suguestions ? it will be highly appriciated .

You will not find a cure on this forum. As suggested go get a full panel of blood work done, post it up and it will be looked at by someone on this forum.

ED is not the easiest thing to diagnose. I know your frustrated but it's up to you to find a doctor that can treat your problem.

Getting proper bloodwork done is seriously one of the more difficult things, even harder than finding a doc to prescribe test. I even paid out of pocket for a hrt specialist and still didn't get everything I should have...basically our idea of a full blood workup and a doctors idea are two TOTALLY different things.

With this said, I ended up creating my own thorough list and taking it in with me to the doc's office ready to demand and fight for every last damned test I wanted. Guess what, I got it. One thing I've learned, regardless of if it's hrt or not, when it comes to your health you have to research and investigate for yourself and then show your doc that you're not an idiot to be dismissed. Don't be afraid to push for what you need.
