Question Pregnyl Injection - Hurts and Burns

    Hi Guys,

As some of you know i am on Pregnyl 1500iu per week, I go to the nurse to get injections, it has been fine for weeks but today when she gave me the injection, it hurts, it was like something really hot got into my skin and i am still hurting an hour later. Its not killing me but it hurting and feels like extreme burning at the injection area.

This never happend before, should i be worried? What this could be?

    Cheers

    Dont worry, you will live

Probably alcohol on skin was not dry before she pinned, or she got you near a nerve.

Your Pregynl dose of 1500iu/week - a.k.a., hCG - is rather high. The usual maintenance dose that most here take is between 500u - 750iu/week. Why are you taking that much?

Have you also considered breaking up the dose? Like 250iu twice or three times a week?

Hi 2Sox , the dose is divided into 3 parts, i am taking 500iu on Monday, wednesday and Friday. Total 1500iu a week.

I am not sure why my doctor put me on 1500iu , i am not on trt though. it is a 6 weeks cycle of hCG.

It sounds like your doctor has you on hCG mono therapy - something I'm not too familiar with. Probably wants to try to kickstart your natural T production.

Have you found the cause of your low T? hCG should be injected SQ. Is this the case with you? And don't sweat about occasional injection site pain. It happens.

Thanks 2Sox for your reply, yes it was SQ, above my right hip. I panicked thought she injected it in blood stream. I am not sure if Hcg will give same side effects as testosterone when injected in blood stream, i believe not as its not the oil.

sorry i thought you were talking about the dose, Doctor put me hCG for 6 weeks due to my low testosterone issue, he is trying to find the cause with different tests and by seeing how i react to hcg. Also he is trying every possibility to not to put me on trt. I still think the cause of my low test was the testosterone injection i got from my old doctor when i was having ED issues which fully shut me down and made everything wrose but it is my assumption on the basis of how i felt after the injection. In reality, i am clueless about the cause. More details in the following thread. http://forums.steroid.com/hormone-re...ls-normal.html Your response and advise means a lot.

I got great advise from guys on this
