I was wondering what was your experience with the standard Nebido protocol. I'm aware of the chart on their website and the studies, if you want to share your experience, I'm all ears.
I started my first injection 15 days ago, no improvements so far. My doc wants me to skip the booster, so my next injection will be in two months and a half from today.

I feel 'better' so to speak. I feel different. Sex drive hasnt picked up very much yet. But ive just went 10 weeks without a shock and good god did i feel like a bag of shit.

Absolutely do not skip the booster. Inform him that the manufacturer highly recommends the booster shot to achieve stable levels quicker.

I felt ‘normal and stable’ after about 12 months but started to feel good a couple of weeks after my 3rd shot
I tried to convince my end but there's nothing I can do, he says that the booster protocol is now outdated and would put me at a significant cardiac risk. I have a heart disease history in my family but that doesn't justify the fact that he's the first one that I hear saying that the booster protocol is now outdated.
I'm not coming from other forms of test, just starting TRT for my first time.
If he looks in the patient information leaflet thats enclosed next the vial it reccomends the booster at 6 weeks if symptoms dictate, which they likely do if you needed trt
I explained that to him, and he said that he knew, but that protocol is outdated. Reading the various stories of people starting TRT I thought I had been lucky since I met an endo that treated me with care and respect... until I realized that he's very conservative and has these fixed ideas regarding Nebido. It makes me wonder: if he's so fixed on his protocol, it will be hard to adjust together one that suits me, in the future. Damn. But he's the one prescribing me the drug, three vials at a time.Quote:

I dont know how you will change his mind then... it wont hurt you not getting the booster but it may take a few months longer to feel better than it would be id you had it.
3 vials is alot at once... im prescribed 1 at a time on the condition i let the nurse inject me with it....
Not at once. I need to buy three vials with a single prescription, return to my endo to get a new one every nine months, repeat for life.

Been on Nebido for years now, at over 11 weeks im over 600 ng/dl.

Before injecting I was 189 ng/dL. Free Test: 61 pg/mL (range: 75 - 124).
Nebido its a great protocolo, and it works for the vast majority of ppl, but at the end of the day it's just an hormone.
From your blood values it seems you need it, hopefully you and your doctor did the work of finding out the underlying reason for low testosterone, low testosterone at your age is a symptom of some other underlying condition or trauma.
If the cause for your problems is this underlying condition, patching it with testosterone may not produce any results.
Nebido is a slow protocol, furthermore being for long periods with low testosterone usually desensitizes receptors, meaning that some of the symptoms can take up to a year to get results, the best example of this is erectile dysfunction.
We are all different in how we feel it, but sexual desire is usually the first thing to improve upon starting trt protocol. But like I said of you have been low for a long time it may take sometime till your receptors get saturated and your brain recognizes it.
Be patient, and don't expect too much too soon.

About the abscesses, who injected you? You need someone experienced in injecting this stuff. If its just your body fighting a foreign substance if you surgically remove it you are removing the actual nebido. If its not nebido related what is it??

My family doctor did the injection with a sterile, new syringe. He read carefully Nebido's instructions. The injection was a little fast though, I did not count but it felt approximately a minute instead of two.

TEST: 4.37 ng/mL (range 2.4 - 8.27)
HEMOCHROME - Red blood cells 5.52 (range 4.00 - 10.80)
HEMATOCRIT: 48.4 (42,0 - 52,0)
ESTRADIOL: 39.46 (range <39.8)
SHBG: 30.9 (range 13 -71).

We did a Bone Mineral Density scan and found that my bones don't have a perfect mineral density, so we thought that my condition started many years ago.
