F*****G steroid acne :(

I finally got control over my steroid acne but it's left lots of scars, I don't think I dare take any more courses now as my back looks a right mess from the mess the bacne has left over. Is there any way of getting rid of the scars, any over the counter stuff that can be used to fade them ect or will I have to have micro dermal abrasion or laser treatment ?

Tanning/UV exposure will not get rid of the scars/blemishes, but it will make them much less visible...

In reality just go to a dermatologist and get an accuatne perscription. Itll be gone and wont come back.

^^The O/P says the acne is under control...the damage has been done. He's looking for answers to scar, blemish removal...

Accutane is not something to be just "tossed" out there for advice on treatment...it is a last resort treatment option that can carry some very heavy sides...I speak from experience.

Thanks for the advice guys, i'll go see my Dr and ask to be reffered to a dermotologist see what they reccomend, I wont take accutane like as the actual acne is under control, just have scars and blemishes left now but it looks a mess which is pretty shit,as its summer now and I wont even take my top off because of the state of it, saying that over here in sunny England we dont get many opportunities to sunbathe.

As for the woman problem there's F**k all about round where I live,plus I wouldn't want them seeing my back lol.

The red spots left by acne will fade with time. It can take a year or more. I've read lots of remedies, but nothing really works. You just have to wait.

accutane no good for him but it worked like charm for acne. True on the side effects though, i had to go for monthly tests. Plus i wasn't allowed to drink at all. I had no side effects though except for the real dry lips.

i have to say i had the same and after the last cycle it tock a few months to clear up,id say get your top of when your in your garden and get some rays on them! it does help m8 and after all we are getting some sun here at the moment for once

Could of been worse could of been on your face. How old are you Blemish and was that your first cycle and what did you take?

you need to get a microexfoliation going-there are over the counter retinols and alpha hydroxy acids that can help the appearance also there are copper peptides that can help the skin regenerate-roc retinol and the alpha hydrox line are good products lines at drugstores a site called skinbiology has a copper serum that has been proven to regenerate skin on burn victims-i love it it keeps the face tight and firm-i also swear by decleor prolagene gel-over time it will remove scarring-like six months-im obsessed with skincare -cause of my job,and as long as you have a retinol or acid to remove the damaged layers and a regenerating product you should see huge improvement

I'm keeping off the juice now in future as I only want to gain another 14lb and I feel that with the right diet and supplementation that is a goal I can achieve

Interesting technique. I have done a fair bit of research on acne treatments in the past but had not heard of your particular method. Then again I guess this is a scare treatment, and I haven't researched treating scars all that much. I was aware that Alpha hydroxy acid may be beneficial in spot treating acne and possibly fading scars.
