    weight lifter's headache?

A couple times in the past I have gotten brutal headaches in the middle of my wokouts. They were rare maybe once a year, however the last two days I have gotten them. starts with a feeling pressure in my head then a migraine, next it feels like my tounge is swelling up. after about ten mins I get a little disoriented and my nose starts to run. has anyone experienced this?

Exercise induced headaches are usually divided into to categories. One being primary to exercise which are typically harmless and are due to extended periods of strenuous exercise.

The second is called a secondary exercise induced headache which means that it is cause by another condition other than exercise. These are ranging from drug or supplement induced to more serious causes.

It would be prudent to mention this to your doctor especially if they continue.

    Yes, unfortunately.

Your not breathing properly. If you get caught holding your breathe under heavy stress you will get a head rush like you have never felt before, I have been there.

It will damn near knock you off your feet, it is terrible. Excruciating pain.

Feels like your head is going to explode right?

I got them a couple times doing squats, just was pushing so hard forgot to exhale and trust me that will never happen again.

Are you using any preworkouts or other supplementation?

When was the last time you checked your blood pressure?

when I was living in Georgia, years ago, someone introduce me to majical shrooms! Unfortunately, also came the headaches when working out. they tapered in extremity and frequency and lasted about 3 years. Not sure what it was, but sure as h3ll won't ever do THAT again!

I'm on my last week of h-drol. both times I think I may have been holding my breath as I was struggling with my last rep. both times I also had my head back a little (incline bench and pull ups) also I checked my bp about a half hour later and it was 150 over 82. Not sure if this was the cause or a result of the pain
