Thread: The start of my transformation.

    The start of my transformation.

Currently 6' 188 cutting down from 200. im thinking doping to 185 (dont really want to go below that) then starting a nice lean bulk. my goal is to put on as much mass as possible while still looking decent. im hoping by adding lean mass and working on my abs i will look better and leaner after the bulk.

i ended up upping my calories and have been maintaining around 188. ill post some progress pics this week. as far as lifts my bench has remained the same or maybe even dropped a bit but my squat and dead lift has gone up quite a bit. my previous max on my DL was 465 a couple months ago but i hit 500 the other day which is even hard for me to believe.

A little update. Still stuck at 188-190 despite being at 4300-4500 calories but lifts seem to be going up.

Agreed! It’s quite an amazing transformation! That’s why we all do this right? To change our body in sometimes subtle sometimes major ways. Either way it’s awesome to see!

Thanks I've still got a long way to go. Like most of us I'll probably never be happy when I started lifting I was like 145 lbs said I'd be happy at 175...then 200.

    Yeap. First I wanted 181. Then 198. Now 220.
Then I had the realization that most untested powerlifters at my height (5’10”) are 242 or 275 class.

My end goal is more bodybuilding focused but I figured focus on power for a bit and put on some size.

But don’t forget most power lifters don’t look like bodybuilders they carry much more fat...or maybe I’m wrong I not into the seen so idk just a thought...

That’s more a relic of the geared PL world and current tested raw guys.
When I think untested PLs in my height range in those classes, I’m thinking Kirk Karwoski, Dan Green, Stan Efferding, Matt Kroc, etc. Of course they’re not contest ready when in PL condition, but you’d be an idiot to try that. They’re pretty far from fat in those conditions either, especially Green and Efferding.

    Great work.

Gaining good weight is an addiction. I though I'd be pretty happy at 200, but now over 210 ......I know I have more to go.....

Haven't posted an update in a while sitting at 190 and pretty happy considering I've been doing crappy home workouts for the past 4 months.

Anyone have advice for lower back issues? My back seems to always be messed up to the point I can't even do legs, or deadlift for weeks but then again on a good day I can crush deadlifts.

Sorry for the blurry pic I had to crop the shit out of it.
