How do i get rid of this fuking thing? I've run nortons removal tool and it couldn't remove it's own ass.

Any suggestions?

go into your registry if you feel confindent enough. You couldmess up your pc real good if you dont know how to get around in the registry though

Yeah, that's my problem. I removed it through regedit, but it's still in my **** sys32 files. WTF is going on!

try to run a google search on it and see what come sup for removing it. I figured if you got it in the registry you would have been good to go.

Hey, LSASS is a critical part of windows. It's the Local Security Authority Service. Without it, your computer would be pretty useless.

Yes, but the worm is still there. It can't do anything but it's still there.

hmmm. I cleaned 2 computers at my work and I downloaded the patch at microsoft, updated windows, and ran virus scan. Did you follow the directions exactly (like starting in safe mode, etc.)

Isn't that the sasser worm causing that? A new variant perhaps? This worm exploits the Windows LSASS vulnerability, which is a buffer overrun that allows remote code execution and enables an attacker to gain full control of the affected system.
