sounds like to me you were to tense. Did you change needle after you drew out of vial?Originally Posted by maxmuscle187
25g should be ok, i use a larger gauge for the quads though, probably just a fluke
some times when i pull out a 25g they come out bent....... very flimsy needles. i think next time im just gunna stick with 23g
I do not know what you guys are doing...I use a 25g for everything...never bends......always goes in no problem
Thats a pretty long flimsy needle, I use 23g 1" needles for my quads. 1.5" is a little long unless you have huge legs...
How often do you use that spot? You might be getting scar tissue.

Good point. My 25g's never have those problems. What brand you using?Originally Posted by NaughtyNurse

this might be stupid, but could the needle break inside u??
it sounds pretty crazzy but i always think about it
The slightest brush will dull the things. One more reason to use a new needle after the syringe is loaded. Pull of cap, stick in butt. Nothing in between.Originally Posted by falker
Just to give you an idea. I dropped a 40ml vial once will loading the 3cc syringe up with a 23g needle. Thing bent all the way around to pointing to the ground and then right back to where it was before. Didn't break. I think it would take a lot considering that vial ripped that needle in a 180 degree turn and fell off without hurting it.Originally Posted by frank_frank
I personally like to go in slow once I break the skin. That way you can feel if you are about to hit a nerve, no way around that if you just "jab" it in! OUCH!!Originally Posted by diablo27185

i draw with a 20g and then change to a 25g and shoot. i dunno wat brand the 20g has a brown colored screw top thing that goes in2 the syringe. the 25g have this lite blue one. i dont think its scar tissue because its my first cycle.
That's it right there.Originally Posted by NaughtyNurse

scar tissue!
I'm going to say scar tissue also.
If this is your first cycle, then it probably isn't. But it could be toughening up though. You possibly are doing the whole process too slow.Originally Posted by maxmuscle187

Well the obvious reason is because your Needle is too dull, you aren't tense and you are not piercing but rather than applying pressure.
i guess it is scar tissue because i dont shoot anywhere else, cant reach. i gota find some shooting buddies and start doin delts and tris. and by the way debulkred the needle isnt too dull becuase i use a brand new needle to inject.
Besides scar tissue, Do you by any chance load your gear then with the new needle push the plunger up untill a drop of oil slides down the needle. I do that and if I dont it feel a little more ruff going in and feels like my skin sticks to the needle when pulling it back out.
just a thought.
