The last two times I have tested my max bench I have hurt my right leg. I tighten everything and get after a slow controlled rep and afterward my right hip and knee are killing me. I limp around for a painful week. I am not moving my legs at all during the lift. Could a contraction of my quad/ham during the lift be putting a strange tension on these joints? Anyone experience anything like this? What did you do about it? BTW I set a personal best so all is not lost.
