I dont think there is any easy way, but the facial and neck bloating is a good sign
Take your thumb, or your whole hand and press it up against your abs, if the color of the skin turns skin color very fast then theres not much water there. if it takes a few seconds its still got some fat. I hope you can understand this.

you will know one way i realize is your big and strong but when you flex your muscles are puffy looking
i get bloated in everywhere... neck, shoulders, arms.... but when i get fat it starts at the waistline
i think thats a pretty good indicator....imo, one of the best ways to check visual progress/regress is asking a friend. they should be able to tell you if it's bloat/puffiness or fat. but thats just me, i don't try to hide from my close friends when i'm on.Originally Posted by zuke
the first place men usually gain fat is the face or waist and the face is almost always going to bloat on a bulk cycle. i'd also consider that if you're doing a true bulker its probably inevitable to gain a little fat so don't sweat it.
