    chronic shoulder pain

I have a injury in my shoulder. I am sure it is a muscle. it is right beside my right shoulder blade. About every 4 or 5 months I do something and it comes back. Its not real bad pain but hurts for a week or two. My question is would you suggest a chiropractor or a massage therapist? I Have never been to a choropractor but have heard good and bad things. It has been hurt for three years.

Go to a massage therapist, or a physical therapist.

Agreed.. I would rather try one of these first before resulting to a 'crackpractor'...(I have used chiropractors in the past with good results btw, but I would rather have something done by a massage therapist.. JMO)

    Hope something turns out bro...

Yeah. over the years i have done all of these things but sooner or later it comes back. I can live with it but would like to find some quicker relief. I dont like having to wait for three weeks for the pain to go away. If a ther4apist could take a week or two away from the pain then it would be worth it.

I have had the same problem and I goto my Chiro. He snaps me back in shape and I feel better in a few days. Rather than weeks.

the chiro really helped my knees. i'd visit him for shoulder pain. part of it in canada is covered so it isn't all that expensive.

Have you had x-rays or scans to pinpoint what might be the problem? Is it the exact same area/muscle everytime? Just curious...even though I still hate you.

You can request an MRI with your doctor. So you can pinpoint the problem and heal it correctly.

I have been to two regular docs over the years. They both gave me muscle relaxers and pain pills and said rest. They said it was a pulled muscle. I had x rays and the doc said it was inflamed. I was just trying to find alternatives.

    Thanks everyone.
