I just thought I'd post to let you all know how my trip to Mexico went.
I went down on Sunday and was greeted by a guy asking to sell me some gear no longer than 10 seconds after I'd crossed the border-no exageration! Then I let this guy show me to the vet, which was only a few blocks away. We passed about 15 pharacies on the way there. I gave the guy a few bucks for helping me find the place, and he went on his way. I then started barging with the vet guy. He was trying to rip me off when I first got there, but when he realized I knew what I was taling about and I acted like I was leaving a few times he lowered the prices quite substantially to where it should have been for Mexico. I then paid him and he gave me tape and room to use. I had a couple of beers to loosen the nerves, but the border was not bad at all. The key is having a good reason to be down there and just playing it cool. They see thousands of people on the weekends and they're not going to search you unless you are suspicious.
