    My Diet-Critique

    Hey,

I have revised my diet to look like this. Keep in mind that I am working slowly on improving it. I know its not perfect, but its a start and I am going to stick with this and then adjust as things progress

    #1 Post Workout Shake-Contains 55g Protein, 100g Dext, a little OJ

#2-Meal-Breakfast 2 eggs/4 whites, whole grain bread, some cheese, lean meat (ham)

#3 Meal-Lean Meat (chicken or other) 1/2 cup oats.

    #4 Meal-Lean Meat, veggies, Flax

#5 Meal-Lean Meat (Chicken, tuna) veggies, (flas if not tuna)

    #6 Shake-55g protein, flax

I have been on this diet now for about4 days and so far it really has made me feel alot better. I think removing MILK from my diet is key. I no longer have that bloated feeling and have more energy. My only concern is the loss of calcium. I guess I can get a calcium fortified OJ??? or a Supp?

Also, is it OK for me to add in another Shake somewhere or should I not do that?

well i dont think lifting on an empty stomach is a great idea at all. . but if you gotta then, have some carbs in your PPWO and NO FAT in that meal

I ran the empty stomach past SC in the past and he said just go with the empty stomach. See, I have to get out of bed and workout first thing....no time to eat becuase of my schedule.

I only said that because you have no alternative (actually I don't really remember saying that LMFAO!!!!!!!!!) but it is far from ideal, DCB is right.

Hard to lift and not be too run down after an over-night fast.

    PS,

I need to mention I am doing weights and cardio (3 days a week) in the AM. Should i have my PWO shake right after weights and before cardio?

No, doing cardio after weights isn't a good idea, and having a pwo shake before cardio is worse, as you aren't going to burn any fat that way, and you are wasting your pwo shake which is needed for recovery.

You can get calcium from cottage cheese. I would drop the last shake, or halve it, and eat about 40 grams of cottage cheese with a little (!) fruit. Low-carb peaches are pretty good, and you don't need much. Also, your protein shakes should have a fair amount of calcium. 4 scoops of protein power will usually supply you with over half of the reccomended daily amount.

You can take the calcium in pills so there is really no worries there. How about a MRP skake when you wake up? Better then nuttin' at all IMO...

The one thing about calcium pills is the possibility of getting kidney stones. If you're taking creatine too, I would avoid calcium pills. If you do take calcium pills, make sure you drink a lot of water with them.

    So,

On my cardio days you are saying to do cardio in AM and weights in PM. If I do cardio around 7am....when is the soonest I can do weights...2:00, 3:00?

I'd get at least 2-3 meals in before tackling an anaerobic activity after doing an aerobic one.

    OK,

so how should I rearrange my diet on my 3 cardio days?

I would of course move my PWO Shake to after weights. What should I do before and after cardio?

    OK,

So on the cardio days I should do cardio first thing AM, have 2-3 pro/carb meals, then weights, PWO, PPWO and one other Pro/Fat meal?

i would break it down more like this. .

    cardio
    meal1,2,3 pro/ fat
    LIFT
    PWO
    PPWO
    pro/ fat

depending on how carb sensitive you are you can make meal 3 pro/ carb, but you will have to tinker with it
