It was true though bro. You never stated what properties you were using the flax for to be able to reply to as whether or not olive oil would fit the bill.

Flax is higher in omega 3 fats and olive oil is higher in omega 6's. Flax is better, but olive oil is cheaper.

Olive oil has monounsaturated fats -- omega 9.

Like he said though, flax is better for the distribution of omega3 and 6. But there's nothing wrong with using olive oil as part of your diet in addition.
