    Cool,

Now comes the early morning walks, or if you slack and don't make the early morning walks, you will be confronted with the dreaded stepping in **** on your way to your morning piss.

{chick who is staying this week } <---- you HAVE to explain this one! LOL!

But, really, dobermans are one of my favorite, breed, maybe my all time favorite. And are very underrated as one of the better dogs out there as far as temperment and goodness goes. Hopefully, you didn;t get a hyper one, the only temperment downfall some of the breed can have. Good luck!

Don't Dobermans have a genetic problem with their brain when they get to a certain age. I can remember one having like brain cancer or something...the thing got very violent and had to be put down.

I have heard something like this. I heard that their brain grows to be too large for their skull, and the ensuing swelling causes violent behavior. I have no idea if this is true?

In all my years of veterinary medicine, I haven;t yet heard of this. Dobermans do some some genetic predispositons to some things, the most common being cardiomyopathy, Wobblers disease, and copper storage disorder. I have nmet very few "mean" dobes and can't actually recall one right now.
