    Humalog backordered?

    My pharmacy in Canada has Humalog backordered for over a month now.....is anyone else having this problem?

    Did you order it from CP? I did, orderd it like in early dec... its freakin gay! I know there are quite a few guys that have this problem as well

    I was just about to order there, good thing I looked here for opinions first on them. I guess they wait till they get your money, then tell you they don't have what you need. They seemed legit to me and others are saying good stuff. I dont know if anyone has a favorite spot for getting 100u pins? I don't mean to hi-jack here but I need those too and cant find a good straight forward 100u syringe online.

    I found this - Novolog also starts working faster than Humalog. Although no direct comparison of Novolog and Humalog has been reported, one researcy study found that in normal individuals, Novolog reaches peak activity at 52 minutes, compared to 145 minutes (2 hours and 25 minutes) for Regular insulin. Humalog peaks at about 75 minutes (Eur J Clin Pharmacol 1999 May;55(3):199-203).

    Humalog - onset 15-30min, peak 30min - 2.5 hours, duration 3-5hours

    Novolog - onset 10- 20min, peak 1-3- hours, duration 3-5 hours

    Looks like they are very simular, but I am sure this is sub-q... wonder if it would differ with IM? I mean I know its faster, but if it would change between the two?

    I wanted to bump this one instead of starting a new thread. Is everyone getting their slin now? I am gathering up my gear now and want to know before I order from cp. They seem like a legit site.

    Yes, I did have this problem. The thing that really made me mad is that they didn't even contact me to tell me that it was on backorder. I told them to cancel the order, refund my money and I ordered from another company in Canada. I first contacted a few companies and asked if they had the product or if it was on backorder. Quite a few said it was on backorder. I got my product last week.

    i got intouch with CP yesterday - i ordered my slin about a week ago..... they said they'll be getting more humalog in at the end of january... so i asked if it'll ship out early feb or before..... and they told me it would be.....

    if i were to place another order... i'd get on it right now.....

    Oh yeah, and when I called them out on "Why the F*** did you not indicate on the website that you were out of stock?" - Monique L. emails back, "We would just like to let you know that we would have indicated Humalog is on back order on our web site but we do not have an indication whether or not Humalog will be on back order long term or not."

    That made me real god**** happy!

    I talked to them on the phone and they said it is backordered because of a manufacturer shortage (eli lilly). Thankfully i found another Canadian site with it in stock!

    I got a ship notice January 24th and I received the pack today January 31st. The weird thing ... the package shows that it shipped from the UK. I guess it drop shipped directly from the manufacturer???

    Ah, so you only had to wait 2 months for yours... I guess I'll be looking forward to March. I think from now on, I'll just be keeping an extra vial on hand in the fridge.

    When I called CP, they said that Lilly is undersupplied with the humalog, which I think is BS because I ordered of another site the next day (last week) and received it about 6 days later. And it was another candian online pharm!
