Humalin R over Humalog, why?

humalog is the most powerful, fastest acting insulin...
while humalin r stays in the system longer, making possible mistakes and health problems more present.
why R over the most popular diabetic insulin 'HUMALOG'?

I personally would never use anything other than humalog......smaller window of becoming hypo.

How would the same amount of Insulin distributed over an extended period of time . Cause more side effects? All I have ever been able to get is Humalinr. And it works pretty good for me.

Humalin-r is slower acting and therefore will stay in your system longer meaning theres more of a chance of becomeing hypo.

Both Humalin R and Humalog can bring great results, but most people seem to stick with Humalog as its less of a hassle to use because its in your system for a shorter amount of time. This means you don't have to worry about falling into hypoglycemia for as long, and you also have to watch your fat intake for a shorter amount of time. These are the advantages that Humalog has over Humalin R. I prefer Humalog.

Log isnt more powerful...its just faster acting. You can eat more times in humalin's activity window...you can more effectively carb load. Cant do that with log.

I think prescription has a lot to do with it.
both are available over counter in Canada
