Why A Re-Used Pin Looks Like...

Here is what happens when you try to re-use a pin - meaning you draw from the bottle, and then you use the same one to poke yourself.

wow..that makes sense to me.....i can always tell how much it dulls it when i re-enter my vial a couple times.

I have used the same pin before to draw from multiple vials and it looks nothing like any of the above images. I personally, and others are skeptical of this illustration, however, it is still a great idea to obviously change pins between drawing and injecting.

No I'm being totally serious I think its a bit exaggerated. The pic after 6 injects just looks to be too much to be believeable. Seriously I have used the same pin for days/weeks when drawing and it doesnt even so much as remotely look like that. I wouldnt think there is a huge difference between drawing multiple vials and injecting. Oh well like I said its a great idea to change pins regardless.

Needles are cheap. after seeing that, I will never re-use needles found in allys.

I received IM allergy shots every week for over 15 years. Not once did the dr, nurse, or allergist ever change the needle after they drew the fluids out of the vials. I draw and shoot with the same needle everytime for this very reason.

throw out that pin.. they cost nothing.. $6.00 for 100...

but i will agree to a point.. it's not that important.. for sanitation more than the possiblity of using a dull needle..

I used to use the same pin to draw and inject but now i use a new pin to inject and it is way better.

If I screw up with a slin pin in a gh vial...and I have to stick it back in the stopper.......I can **** near bend the thing before it will go through my skin.

If I nick a vein and try and use the same pin to inject....I have a hard time getting it to cut into the flesh rather than tear in. So a new pin for me every friggin tiime. It is obvious from my own experience, not some picture.....that reusing a pin will cause an increase in scar tissue....at least on my body.

I myself and i think others use a big needle to draw with (draws quicker) and a smaller pin to shoot with (less pain) .


But your right , i dont see a problem with shooting with the same pin as you drew with .

I've never bothered changing needles after drawing before I inject. Now, if I was drawing from multiple bottles or something where the needle had to penetrate like 3 times or something, I might change it, but just from one bottle... nah.

Only sterility. You are sticking a pin in your vial that has been exposed to the environment and is not stored in a sterile environment. So it could be a source of bacteria.
