I am wondering if there is any reason that I should not preload syringes with oil based injectables a week or so ahead of thier use?

what is your reason for wanting to preload them? I think it is safer in the vial unless you have a reason for doing so.
Someone asked the same question I did 10 minutes after me and got lots of responses. Consensus is that its okay to do it.
I wanted to because my gear is in those ampuletes and they are so hard to open. If its done ahead of time, then i dont need to concentrate on it when I wake up which is when I prefer to inject. Preloading will make things much easier for me.
i would say its safe to preload, i did it before, but i wouldnt preload too far ahead. u still wanna maintain sterility and i dont know how good a syring is at doing that.
I do it all the time.... up to 10 days....
its cool for a short while, but if you leave them in there too long the rubber stopper will melt
