Confiscate from you and then use you as bait for the bigger fish. Are you talking about ordering it online or in real life? Also depends how much you are ordering. Alot of things determine what can happen in these types of situations.

Best case scenario if you get caught:
Your gear gets intercepted by customs. Then you get a seizure letter from customs. DO NOT respond to the letter. After no response the feds will dispose of your gear and the worse you suffer is a loss of money. In this event, hopefully your source has a re-send policy.
Worst case scenario:
The feds do a controlled delivery on your delivery address, disguised as your delivery man or some other ploy. Once you accept the package, you're popped.
One way to avoid this scenario is not to order from a place that is going to require your signature upon delivery.
In your case though, because you're just getting some personal quantities, I would figure the worse thing to happen to you is a customs seizure. This has only happened to me once, and the place did a resend and the second delivery was successful.
