Can D-Bol or Test increase shin splint pain?

I run about 4 days out of the week now and my shin splints are really starting to get to me. I just bought some new shoes and starting reading up on treatment such as warm pads before running, ice after, taping, etc.

My question is, I just started my new cycle (dbol and test) and was wondering if any of you know or have experienced increased shin splint pain with the use of dbol. Im wondering if muscle growth or 'pump' could somehow contribute to the pain via firmer calves, etc.

    Any ideas?

bone density doesnt have anything to do with shin splints

increasing bone denisty would mean that your bones would become stronger because of it, dbol is not causing you shin splints...perhaps a side effect of dbol (increased muscle) more weight on your shins is causing the shin splints. Running on a treadmill is one of the worse things you can do to your shins...run on a track its a softer surface also try training your tiba flexor that will help.

yeah, steroids increase shin splint pain. The reason: your muscles gain strenght and mass more quickly than your tendons and connective tissue. The tendons and connective tissue become the weak point and are subjected to greater stress than they can handle, resulting in the pain. In my experience and that of my fellow track buddies, winny is particularly bad for this; has even fvcked up whole seasons for guys who ran it too much in the off season.

winny is known for drying joints out its not ideal for sports but we are talking about dbol which is also known for strengthening connective tissues.

shin splints happen when your calves are too strong for your shins which become fatigued much faster than the stronger calves.
the only thing you can do is make the shins stronger through exercise.
you just stand there and lift yours toes and feet to flex the shins, making them stronger.
i used to get shin splints all the time while playing tennis and after a few weeks doing the above exercise regularly it slowly went away and now
i dont get shin splints anymore.
    hope this helps.

Do your jogging on grass and only step on the track to sprint.

Put some weight on the front of your feet, and lift it up, keeping your heels on the ground.. I was taught this by my MMA instructor, and it made my shins splints go away

Lots of steroids cause shin splints. Chances are if it causes back pumps or great muscle pumps it will cause shin splints. The muscle on your shin is held to the bone by tiny fibers and when you get shin splints its those fibers tearing. That what my dock told me and gave me an anti inflamatory when I had them real bad. So the point is steroids in many ways can and will cause shin splints.
