If you use bars and it would be say 18g carbs (in the form of sugar alcohol) and it says its only a net impact of 1g of carbs...is this bullshit? When counting macros for the day would you say +1 or +18 ?

Sugar alcohols aren't like sugar they don't get digested properly.
But I did read a study where a certain % of those 18G will be treated as if it were sugar on your insulin levels.
Buts its less than real sugar.
plus if u eat a ton of sugar alcohol be ready to have the shits and bad farting
