ART for my thigh

i was wondering about this ART treatment, do they do surgery on people or just massage the muscle. I tore my rectus femoris awhile back and i was wondering if i can get it fixed but every time i go to the orthopedic doctor they say there is nothing i can do. Are there any specialist that can repair muscle tissue tears that have been torn forwhile. Am i going to the wrong kind of doctor?

What would prolly be the procedure is tearing it some more by cutting it or something and letting it scar back to the bone. In my wrist surgery they had to detact my forearm muscles b/c they shortened one of my bones. They can do anything. Find a specialist... they will help ya out.
