    Is it worth it?

Hey guys I work out religiously 5 days a week and am an extremly hard gainer, it sucks when all of my friends are showing great gains and than there is me.Iam far too skinny, at 6'3 and about 160 pounds its pathetic. No matter how much I workout or eat I cannot seem too gain a pound, than a friend mentioned steroids to me.I was just curious as too if it would help me out at all and if there is anything else I could possibly do? Iam open too just about anything as Iam tired of being the little guy! By the way iam 18 years old.

Most likely you ar enot eating right. Maybe if you post your diet, people could help you here. You are also too young yet for steroids, IMO. I would get everything else in order first, like diet, rest, and workout routine and go from there. Taking steroids is not the easy way out nor will you be satisfied with your results without the proper research, and gaining as much naturaly first.

Listen bro, I have a few friends who started using AAS at the age of 17-19 and most of them regret it. Not because of side effects, but because the body stopped reacting the way they wanted it to to Test and other anabolics.

At your age, your body is producing a great amount of testosterone and NATURALLY, mostly side effect free for most people. Why throw that away? Although AAS perhaps will make your gains come a bit easier, don't do it. Eat right, train hard, and sleep. You wont regret it, you'll make great gains.

Take care, listen to people on this board with experience, and STAY SAFE!

Thanks alot guys. The way I eat I should atleast have fat on my body! I have the appetite of a horse, the past while I have been eating a ton of protien, both in meals and in shakes but aside from going up or down a pound or two once in a while my weight stays the same!

You might have the appetite of a horse, but WHAT ARE YOU EATING? You must eat a HIGH PROTEIN diet to gain lean muscle mass. Dexter Jackson has even been quoted to say that he eats 2.5 x (times/multiplied) by his body weight. So for him, he eats over 500 grams of protein a day.

Also you might want to try a great product by GNC, it's called Weight Gainer 2200. Has 50g of protein and 2200 calories in ONE DRINK! Worked wonders for me when I was younger. It's only around $25 or lower. Give it a shot, eat right, train right, sleep right. You'll get it.

5 days a week in the gym is obviously too much for you. I reckon you train too much and dont eat enough. 'eating alot' doesnt cut it. 240g of protein a day and 450-500 carbs a day should do it............split in 7 meals. You will grow.

yea, i would say the same. and if you're having problems getting that many calories you can add a shake or two of ABB's XXL or ON's Pro Complex Gainer.

Hmm i dont agree with these '2000 calorie' weight gainers. Yh he will gain weight............but not the weight he wants. weight gainers need to be taken in moderate amounts. I dont think 250g of maltodextrin/sugar will provide any benefit. I use a weight gainer from a company in england and it has 50g of protein and 50g of Low GI carbs per serving. Thats works wonders and will build quality size. 250g of shit carbs in these weight gainers will just make you fat.

aright my man, first off, ectomorph or not you can gain alot more naturally. I have a freind who was about 6'2" and 135 or 140 lbs when he started working out. This guy had the shittiest genetics I've ever seen on anybody. He is now 210-215ish at probably 8-9% bf, and he's competed before as well. It just takes time, and alot of it. He has been at it for about 8 or 9 years now, eating and training religiously. Now also keep in mind, his BMR(how much he burns just day to day functions) is a whopping 2300 calories/day. Ok, this is just what his demands are for walking, breathing, staying awake. Then lets say he burns off another 800 calories during a workout. Lets just round up and say it takes 3000 calories/day just to maintain. Now when you talk about growing, this guy needs at least 4-5000 calories/day, its ridiculous. I myself am 235 lbs around 12% right now, and I can still grow off of 4-5000 cals/day easy. So size sometimes has very little to do with calorie demands when you have a body type such as yourself. I'd stick to alot of pasta, red meat, oats, lots of carbs, probably like 500 grams/day. A cycle at this point will not do much to help you.
