    so when i poked today

i pulled the pin out and blood just started pouring out. Im guessing I went through a vein. But now the site is real tender, even to the slightest touch. Whats the deal with that?

Just because a lot of blood comes out doesn't mean you hit a vein, but bump for this.

dont trip, this has happened to me as well as other members several times. its not exactly common, but its not anywhere nearly as bad as it seems. hell, the only problem is that it stains your carpet with blood.

Do you lose your gear when that happens?

How much blood are we talking here? Less than a ml?

The soreness is probably just soreness from the normal injection. Hard to say how much gear you can lose when this happens. Your best bet is to have a cotton swab ready right when you pull the needle out so that you can put immediate pressure on the puncture to decrease swelling and hold everything in there.

The more gear that you do, you will have scares like this from time to time. Wait till some of the blood actually goes a little airborne. That can scare you a little bit.
