Injection Question...

I did my fourth injection last night. It went well; injected into my left quad (vastus lateralus) in the same area I injected last time. I aspirated prior to injecting and I injected slowly - I could feel the oil going into the muscle. When I pulled out the pin, I got a spurt of blood. Now, what I think happened based on reading other posts is that I went through a vein. While I was cleaning up, my wife looked closely at it and said she could actually see the vein under my pastey white Canadian winter skin. The bleeding stopped almost immediately and all seemed well. Now, I think that everything is still Ok, but this morning I have what looks like bruising under the skin - no pain or discomfort - just bruising. Am I right that this is just blood from the vein that seeped under the skin? Or does this look more serious? Pics attached...sorry, I took them at work in my change room - one is with flash and one is without...the pics are not that great...if it gets worse, I will take some better shots...

Is this nothing to worry about?

I would wait a few days and see if the discoloration starts to go away. If it does, youre probably ok.

thanks fanatic...as I said, I am not too concerned...I am pretty sure I just passed through a vein and it bled under the skin a little...

Your're probably fine. Next time you're shooting make sure you don't feel painful resistance all the way through, take a warm shower b4 hand to relax the muscle that you'll be pinning. Wait it out a few days, the discoloration should subside if not then the next step is obvious get your pastey butt to the er. Btw hope your not using anything larger than a 23g.

Dude, it was a 25G 1" pin. I injected deep enough that there were 2mm showing outside the skin. I did not feel any pain at all during then inject (besides the mild pinch when I broke the skin) - only the pressure feeling when you pump your muscle full of gear. The inject was was small - 1.25cc of Test Cyp. If this gets worse, i will certainly get myself checked out... I will not try any "Valentino-style" self medical procedures...

Not much more than the usual tenderness after an injection. I was thinking about this some more and I think it did not help much that after the injection I had a shower and then had a pretty active "test-driven" cardio session with my wife....probably made it bleed more than it would have if I had just gone to bed...

yes that is true...it should start to diminish soon.. just keep an eye on it...
