    Source checks and PM'ing Mods.

Guys I won't make this a lecture, 'nor is it an excuse for not getting checks done.

PM'ing a Mod for a source check can be a hit and miss thing. We honestly try our hardest to get through them all, but for various reasons your PM's might get unread. If that happens try another Mod or a Vet you trust. I can't make excuses for other Mods and Vets here and can only speak for myself.

I get immense satisfaction when I do the ground work for a member and they PM me back to say "thanks, the guy came through" or whatever. It also encourages me to carry on with the work.

But like everything else in life I (and the other Mods) get behind on things. If I get behind on PM's I have to literally take a day or two off work to get through the backlog. For instance I have currently have 197 unread PM's!. Its not laziness, its life getting in the way. When this happens I go through the list and pick out names that I know and answer them first and hope then that the other's will get answered by me in the coming days or shoot on over to another Mod (and probably call me a lazy bastard, lol).

Mods try their very hardest to make it safe for you guys, be it through ordering online, to your diets, your training routines or whatever. We don't get any other reward than the satisfaction in knowing that we've helped another person along in the sport we all love.

So if your PM isn't answered by a Mod, try another or a Vet. Don't go bitch'n and crying over it, because like you guys we have lives to be getting on with too.

One final thing, we don't only do source checks. You can PM us for anything related to this site, or our sport. We're not just a source of information on gear etc, we also do alot of administrative work on the board to keep it running smoothly.

Thanks for reading this and I hope it brings alot more understanding of your jobs as Mods and why we sometimes appear to fail in our jobs.

    Thank you.

    -BOUNCER

Not in the least. But Crane posted a thread in the lounge and hinted at PM's not being answered. I'm not pissed at him, no way. But he's taking some sh*t for it and its only down to him not understanding how things work. Its not his fault, so I'm just hoping this clear's things up for everyone so a good member like Crane doesn't do this again and take sh*t for it.

Seriously I'm not pissed at all.
