Hi everyone,
Finally found a fourm about HRT that seems active! This seems to be a forum focusing more on bodybuilding but I have a few questions I hope can get answered here.
I am a 43 yr old male who has for the past 3 years or so been noticing a decline in my sexual performance. Specifically the duration and quality of my wood. Usually its ok in the beginning but if I go to long I lose the wood and second trys dont happen.
I talked to the doc about it and he sent me off for some blood work. He did alot of tests..psa..test..sugar..thyroid..cholesteral and whole bunch of stuff and everything came back normal and said it all looked good. The total T level was 441 which he said was ok. So he gave me a pack of cialis and off I went.
A few months later I went back and talked more about my problem and possible T therapy. He sent me to get my T tested again and the total T was 385. He said it was normal to flucuate and that 385 isnt all that bad.
He suggested that I try some Testum...1/2 a tube per day. He gave me a script and off I went.
Im concerned about how safe T replacement is. I dont like taking any type of drugs and some of the things ive read about taking T replacement has me concerned.
First..does anybody know of long term studies on T replacement??
If I take T will my gonads stop working and atropy??
Does T replacement cause prostate problems?
How common are man boobs with t replacement?
Keep in mind my goal is not to bulk up but to get the edge back in the sack. I do work out regularly but im not trying to get huge just be healthy. My doc did say that this is a low dose perscription. He wanted me to take it for two or three weeks and get my T tested again.
Any ideas input would be great
thanks a bunch
