    Can't figure this #$%! out!!!

Went out today and bought groceries. Made meals for the rest of the week.

Turkey Meatloaf (enough for 5 days)
    1 lb ground turkey
    1 organic egg
    2 cups rolled oats
    garlic
    onions

Ground Turkey meat with cilantro (enough for 5 days wrapped in wheat tortillas)

24 Hard boiled eggs ready to eat

10 pre-portioned bags of trail mix

Sliced Turkey (5 lbs.) for sandwiches on rye bread

I am trying to lose 25 lbs. (mainly from my mid-section) before I add any size
I am having trouble with when to eat what.

I am eating 6 meals a day and I workout in the morning to afternoon hours.
having said all that....do I eat a Pro shake BEFORE or AFTER my workout??
Do I need hi-glycemic fruits BEFORE or AFTER my workout??
Is a banana or blueberries and strawberries considered hi-glycemic??
Should I eat an actual meal right after my workout or just a light snack or just a shake??

I am 6'5" and 231 lbs. My ideal weight is 205 according to many health charts. My workouts will be mainly cardio until I get to about 210 lbs at which time I will begin a more intense lifting program.

Sorry to be so unorganized but this is very confusing for a newbie! I have read MANY other posts but still can't get direct answers to these dumb questions that I have!

    Thanks for everything!!

You could drink a protein shake before and after your work out if you'd like. It depends on how your diet is working. It is a good idea to drink a protein shake PWO with some dextrose.

Hi-Glycemic fruits would be utilized PWO preferably with a protein and dextrose shake. I don't think a banana would hurt you PWO IMO, I think their was another thread on eating bananas PWO.

I wouldn't eat a meel or snack of whole foods PWO, get in your shake/carbs. I would get in another pro/carb meal PPWO using a pro/carb source. Preferably about 2 hours after you took in your PWO shake.

    Hope this helped out Cp!

Hey cb, stickin with a good shake pwo would be good, i also have my shake and munch down a banana with it, or just mix it in a blender if i wait til i get home. Also, i wouldnt pay to much attention to those health charts, In my opinion, if your 6'5 your not a small guy, and i think if everyone on here followed those health charts, then it would say they are healthy either. Best of luck with your cutting though, hope you get it all straightened out man.

Cardio is my main activity once I'm in the gym. Right now I'm riding the bike for 15 minutes at an interval setting and running for 10 minutes. Then I go lift for 20 mins. doing supersets to keep the HR up. I then cool down with another 5 minutes of relatively hard biking. I'm doing this 4 days a week. After I lose 15-20 lbs. I'll begin to bulk up.

    Thanks for the info. guys!!!
