lol, your first diet? You've been on a diet since you were born whether it be good or bad. Start changing your lifestyle into a more healthy one and put down some quality food. 5'10 162 is skinny, time to grow.

Bulk, Bulk, Bulk.. if it's your first time in the gym, if you decided to cut what exactly would be there for muscle when you were done?
you might want to get your workout down too. a good diet is necessary whether working out or not, but not a bulker
Yes, eat, eat, and eat some more. I'm talking eat like a mother****er, mostly healthy if you can, but a big mac or two, hey **** it just eat it. Right now you just want those calories, eat anything you can get your hands on. JUST EAT GOD DAMNIT!!!

IMO you should start eating healthier right away ... follow the principals many have outlined in this forum..Originally Posted by GetBakedOrDieTryin
However before running off and eating everything not bolted down, I would ask that you get on a workout program for at least a couple weeks.. learn how to lift the weights PROPERLY ... Maybe seek the assistance of a good personal trainer for the 1st week to put you on a program.. Once your schedule and training regimen is off and running then start by adding 500 calories a day per week for 3 to 4 weeks.. this should raise your daily caloric intake around 4-4500 calories a day which should suffice..
Good luck
