What exactly is it? I see a lot of people put it in their diet, and that it's full of calories...How exactly is it consumed? Do you cook it in with other foods?
Thanks,
MS

1. It is an oil/fat
2. it is consumed uncooked with protein of choice and rarely with carbs(not recommended)....
3. its perpose is to be an energy source when carbs are absent
Thanks, I noticed that it is fairly high in calories. Can the use of flaxseed oil be beneficial in bulking? Also, why not with carbs?
Its high in calories because it is a fat (9 cals per gram). It has EFA's which are important. It's not normally taken with carbs because of the insuline spike caused by carbs. Consuming with carbs increases the chance that it will be stored at fat.
flaxseed oil is very beneficial in cutting and bulking...
You dont want it with carbs IMO because simply put: the fat and carbs "meet up" and are stored as body fat...you want them seperate so the carbs can be burned/stored as glycogen in the liver...and fat seperate so it can serve as an energy source until the next meal...actually flax is used more often in cutting than bulking typically
beneficial for both non and work out freaks..my mom is a green tea and flax oil to just make her feel and look young i guess...i use it as a source of energy...sum supps recommend takin with flax oil for absorbtion
Heart Healthy oil
