    slowing down metabolism????

my friend asked me earlier if i could put a post on here for him regarding metabolism. he has a very, VERY fast metabolism, his bodyfat must be around 6%, and the veins in his lower abs are very prominent even when he isnt eating very clean, he loses weight rather easily and has a hard time putting weight on. he looks great IMO, is strong, especially for his weight, and trains hard, along with a pretty good diet. are there any drugs or methods that can be used to slow down the metabolism?

i eat tons also and its super hard for me to gain weight. i'm 26 now and i figured my metabolism would have slowed down by my age, but it doesn't show any signs of it

I don't know of drugs specifically used by BB's to slow metabolism but anyone that does enough gear and eats enough protein can add muscle.

Tell him to enjoy it while it lasts. I'm 28 and I can feel the difference from when I was, say, 20.

Anyway, I agree w/ Rickson. No drugs, but you can put on weight w/ the proper diet, training, dedication (oh, and maybe some gear).

Try the vitamin selenium. It causes weight gains w/o changes in diet, i don't know exactly how it works but my guess is it interferes with the actions of T3/T3 some how.

In my opinion (I too have a fast met) he should by all means take advantage of it. It is not impossable to gain weight as I have in the past and doing so now while still being lean (I'm 24)! I think the best way is eating slow digesting carbs. Such as pasta before bed. Or a nice think shake. I'm sure he has a great diet, but tiny adjustments can help!

    Good luck!!

BTW Selenium is not a vitamin. It's a mineral.
