    Patellar Tracking Straps and Wraps

I bought some new insoles for my new balances, and I have been running a decent amount in attempts for fat lass. Anyway, the insoles are for made for sport, and are very "cushy" however they place my foot up a little higher and I am starting to have some patellar tracking problems, which would probably come about soon anyway, due to excessive overpronation of my feet when I run, especially the left.

Therefore, besides buying some shoes or insoles to aleviate this issue. Is there any type of brace or strap that anyone particularly has liked or hear has heard anything good about. Im thinking about a plain old cho-pat strap, but Im not sure if that will the best or not. I am having left patellar superio-medial mechanicaly based pain and slight left and right patellar mechanically based pain. Nothing too extreme, but I would like to nip this in the bud before things exaserbate.

both my legs track bad thats why i stopped running and took up bicylce machines with the seat real high that is far less stress on your knees, i also use the eliptical type skiing type thingie machine which is also supposed to be very low impact on joints. And if u dont do long distances there is less chance of your quadraceps and VMO getting tired and letting your patella track. So go for short high intensity sprints maybe? instead of the long meduim pace run.

I bought a brace once called the Breg for the pattelar tracking but it was too extreme of a brace, it worked great in keeping your patella in place but thats not all that stays in place!! you can barely move your leg let alone run!!

I use Nike open patella neoprene braces they fit nice and i dont get any pains after i do cardio using them. They also come in mesh material for better skin breathing. They cost me twenty bucks each, very high quality and lasted for ages so far.

when i had my acl replaced I had patella tracking problems after the surgery b/c the quad muscle was so weak & not firing correctly to pull the patella into proper position..you may need to strengthen the quad muscle more..you may need physical therapy. They taped my patella in such a way that when i exercised it pulled the patella into place & then taped it again to hold it & it felt much better while I exercised & strengthened the leg muscles again...webmd has lots of info on this..
