    Raw oats vs cooked oats

Lately ive been too lasy to cook oatmeal and wait for it to cool down so ive just been eating it right out of the container. I was wondering if this made them a different glycemic level then being cooked. I know its a weird question but i was just trying to figure out if it was doing the same to my blood sugar levels as if it were cooked. thanks!

    Shouldn't make a difference, I blend them with water+protein.

does'nt make sence to me....cooking breaks down the complex carbs (alpha chains?) into simple carbs. Seems like cooking would increase the glucose spike to me.

i agree with Nark, if they are cooked they are easier for your body to break down and digest, cooked = higher GI
