I've heard rumors that any carbonated soda will eat protien and effect nitrogen balance. I always brushed this off as just that, a rumor, until... i tried to add 5gs of L-glutamine to my diet coke and it was like combining vinegar and baking soda...fizzed until the glutamine was all gone...
Now i know that the artificial sweeteners are ok for cutting, but have plenty adverse health risks...but will the soda itself "eat" muscle, or make it harder to achieve a positive N balance?
