    Training partner

This is like the 4-5th time I've posted on the board looking for a training partner. But, I'll try again.

Anyone who trains in or near NYC let me know because I'm looking for a training partner. I have contests coming up this fall and it would be very beneficial to have someone to train with. I train in Manhattan.

I train in long island. I work there and split my time between there and brooklyn so I work out over there. There are no gyms I was impressed with around my area so I found a nice gym out by where I work.

Man I'd love to but nowhere close. I like working out alone but a partner is good to get some added screaming and spots on push days etc..

i have a few to chose from

but in all honesty, working out alone is alot better for me, less chitter chatter, more lifting and im more focused.

Wish, I lived in that area. Working out alone is great, but having a partner that is focused and not a chatter box is awesome. Plus, it keeps your timing down for rest in between sets. I find its somewhat easier to get sidetracked when alone.

For me I can't go as heavy as I want because I never have a spot. That is why I really want to find a partner. For spotting and motivation.

I know a couple of Pros in NYC but they already have training partners. Jason Arntz was my contest coach and I saw him at the Pro show last week and he said he wanted to train me. The problem, I have to pay him. Right now I can't afford what Pros charge for training. I will use him as a contest coach but paying him 5-6 days a week for training I can't do.

Size isn't everything. As long as you're a good spot and motivated that's what makes a good partner.

One of you move to NYC and be my training partner!

I can only imagine. I'm sure most don't make it very long training with Carlos.

Carlos, I'm afraid Nark already promised to come train with me in CO. I'm bribing him with food and women. I think the food was the real clencher. Nark doesn't seem to be too into women.

It's a bit far for me bro or I definitely would - what better way to raise my game than training with someone in as good shape as you!

Wanna come train over here? - The gym I use is pretty poor but it has great parking!

I've never really had one. I've always trained alone and can never find one. If I do, they usually don't last more than 2-3 weeks. Like the last one... She's a Brazilian bodybuilder who squats 405. But she was full of shit and didn't last.

I think if you used my matter transporter it would be a faster trip. I can't guarantee you'll come out of the data stream the same way you went in but who needs two eyes anyway.

i miss having a training partner too, mine have always been my roomates and they understand the concept of not chatting and focusing on the workout. you can find inventive ways to self spot though, and some deftones on the mp3 player added to a general dislike of what i see in the mirror is all the motivation i need. a neat little trick i have found is taking the free standing weight rack from underneath the preacher curl pad and sliding it under the end of the bench on skullcrushers, it allows me to go alot heavier.

i would move to ny, but i was voted most likely to live in ga forever as a high school senior superlative, i would hate to disappoint everybody on the yearbook committee!
