If Mark Kerr didn’t go through his emotional/mental problems and proceeded learning and building his game unto today, saying he was in the UFC heavyweight possibly middle heavy weight division, how dominating would he have been? I know USfighterFC going to have something to say so id like to hear from you bro.

Ive never seen much of kerr before but what ive watched since the topic has come up he looks like he could handle the best in the world with out a dout.

Im a big tito fan fan and love his style but unfortinatly chuck is the best in the light heavy in ufc and cant wait to see him fight wandy maybe we will see some other bouts between ufc and pride

Mark kerr could have been something great but he will always be in the what could have been class. He may have dominated for years or he may not have evolved and be another mark coleman(no disrepect) so we will always be left to ponder what he could have been

His wrestling was great and he was awesome at submissions. His striking left a lot to be desired but his takedowns were some of the best in the game. But none the less he still lost to fighters like Igor Vovchanchyn (twice) and Kazayuki Fujita, although he said he was out of shape for that fight. I think people like Cro-cop would have had his number. Cro-cop has beaten every wrestler pretty badly and made Mark Colemans take downs look amateur. He'd still be a force but he def would not be number 1 as he was.

Dont think he could of been anything. Nubian would of gotten him anyway. He said in his documentery that he had to take nubian and other psych drugs to calm his anxiety cause he was afraid to fight. I think a will to fight and fight mentality is more important than skill. You can teach skill but you cant teach the will to fight and without the drugs he didnt have it. Probably would of made something out of a wrestling career, but not a fighting one.

Looking at kerrs fights i think he would be more suited to street fighting

he was pretty good as far as the wrestling game went.......just a little to much dope to be a real champ.....that dude was hooked on some serious stuff!!!!!!!!!!!!! And the stand-up left something to be desired......so probably would have been just a mediocre fighter at best.

i could have seen him getting submitted in Pride whilst he has mount against some of the top fighters tbh.

Mark Kerr was a beast, he inflicted punishment I have not seen before in other figthers, he messed up and I honestly think he may have also abused steroids, we allknow that if steroids fall in the wrong hands only the worse can be expected, in other words if he already suffered from anxiety or any other mental illness he shoudl have never ever touched a steroid.

I always and will say steroids are for people that are healthy and if one suffers from an illness especially mental illness then steroids are not a choice!

goose4 no one is positive if he suffered from a mental illness. He was highly addicted to pain killers and had a very co dependent g/f who did not help the sitution at all. those two things lead to his demise. She later divorced him and took all his money. It was a big mess if you want you can check out his documentry made by hbo called the smashing machine very interesting

He looks like maybe he used a lot of GH. Big forehead/brow, boney wrists, etc. From what I saw on his documentary it looks like he was not opposed to injecting anything into his body.
Nonetheless he was really a great athelete. It's a shame he couldn't hold things together.

kerr was still learning as a fighter. striking was obviously a weakness, also he could have been better at passing the guard, but his strength and endurance were unreal.

had he stayed on track he would definitly be a force to be reckoned with today

watch the "smashing machine" - It showed him waking up in the a.m. and giving himself nubain I.V. - not good.

He was an enigma but crashed and burned through drug use. I was/still am a fan , but it's sad to watch his demise in a movie. A good watch though.

he was def. badass maybe the best grappler ever. he never really beat an A level fighter though so meh (herring and vov were the best he fought and he lost).
