Test E and Acne

im about to start my first test E cycle. im 24 and havent really had a problem with acne for a few years. I did however break out when i was 16/17 to the point where i took acutain. will i have to go through that again?? and what are some things i can do to avoid this. thanks

I'm in the same boat as you ktstyles. I took accutane 3 times. I'm not even gonna take a chance and go back on accutane before my first cycle (test e). Only 20 mgs/day though, so if I start to break out I can up the dose immediately. Also, that way the doctor will have to do blood tests for the accutane, so then I'm gonna tell him about AS so he can keep an eye on whatever other liver values he needs to. Still researching about that.

As far as avoiding acne, I was reading today that elevated levels of estrogen will cause breakouts, which I had never heard before. Therefore, from what I gather, if you take an AI like Arimidex throughout the cycle, estrogen will be almost nil. But conventional wisdom says (or at least what I always thought) that testosterone causes acne during puberty, so I'm not sure what to think. Good luck!
