Bring back the political forum! VOTE!

I see so many locked threads in the lounge because the mods don't want political discussions.

There are a wide variety of people on this board from all over the world, with many varying opinions on many ideas. With the world being in the state that it is in these days, as well as being able to communicate with each other like never before, the ability to discuss these types of issues is paramount when it comes to getting to know your fellow bro.

My interests include boxing, astronomy, physics, AAS, weightligting, and politics/current events. Your interests may differ than mine, but I'm sure you have an opinion on a matter that is going on in the world just like i do. These events are the dawning of a new age and a new world. I come to this board often during the day because I enjoy the company and discussion of many of the members on here. However, I for one miss the ability to debate ideas that are political in nature.

Therefore I am petitioning to bring back the political forum, in hopes that we as a community can act civil woth each other while being able to vent our concerns as to where the world is going. I will volunteer my services to Monitor the forum eprsonally, as AR is one of 3 websiotes that is not blocked at my job, so I am on here ALL day. If the mods feel another person would be good for the job, that's fine by me. But the forum must be run with an iron fist as to prevent any and all slandering and/or regression of debating into fighting and name calling.

I urge each and every one of you who are looking for an outlet to discuss politics to vote Yes on this. Sure I can find other message board to discuss this kind of thing, but I have grown to appreciate and value many of the people on THIS board, and i'm sure many of you feel the same,

No it's not. It did get deleted because of BS. That's why we need a monitor who won't tolerate bickering. The news thread only allows news events to be posted or the thread is locked or deleted. Even if we DO post news, and then people start discussing it, if it get's off topic of the actual news event, the thread is locked.

Debating is a very good way to exchange ideas, and it forces people to learn because they want to support their side while discrediting the others. To me it seems as if we can debate something pointless like, who would win in a fight, a bulldog vs a pitbull, why can't we debate something that is shaping the world, like the fate of Israel or Palestine?

True...however I get tired of hearing that as well, because the members here are just that...members, not subjects, or slaves of the "dictatorship". The members made a choice when they made a decision to join a particular "dictatorship". We don't have to stay, it is a choice. You may say good riddance go bye bye, see ya, later, piss off, or whatever, but when members are no longer heard, and feel they have no input into a "dictatorship" that their very membership supports, they do leave, and take their business elsewhere. Lion would not like that...getting my drift??

If it weren't for members here, that did business with the sponsors...there would not be a site, so our input is important and it is good sound business practices to listen to your customers.

I agree. Not to mention, who is it hurting by having the forum? What's the point of voting "NO" in this poll unless the political forum actually deterred you from coming to this site? It's not as if it spilled into the lounge or disrupted the board itself. It's an addition being asked for by certain members. I see no harm in accomodating that.

i definitely think the political/religion forum should be brought back, i actually have been going to another site just so i can debate religion and politics with people, but i would much rather do it with the people here.

the main thing is when you disagree with someone is your rebuttal needs to have a point, you cant just say "your fvcking stupid, and all you people should be shot." you can vehemently disagree with someone but you need to keep it civil

Not to be antagonistic but:

The arguement that because a member has varied interests there should be forums to accomodate is null and void.

This is a steroid/fitness forum.. thus the focus is: steroids and fitness

We have artists here..writers...dancers..singers...gymnasts... scuba divers... etc.

Are you suggesting we start forums for each sub-interest?

Fact: The political forum took the most moderating when compared to the other forums... even more so than the steroid forum which logs the highest forum activity.

The political forum caused a problem and was removed... Fact.
