    leaning out

Okay i am currently 5 11", 228-230 lbs. My first goal will be to lose 20 pounds and get down to 210, then my next after that will be either to get to 200, or 190. I play football, so between the 3 weekly practices, and the game i will get more than enough cardio to help cut down.Due to my position I gained weight, but now have realized i can still play that position if i lose some weight. I am not entirely sure what my diet should be, im thinking lots of tuna and egg whites. Today for example I will have eatin

    1) one tin of tuna with light mayo, dejon mustard, and chopped onions on an english muffin with 2 slices of cheese
    2) then before work i will eat another tin of tuna with light mayo, dejon mustard, and chopped onions

Study up in the diet forum for basic knowledge of foods and how to place them together throughout the day, much to learn

hmmm, before you kill yourself by starving, consider reading the cutting sticky.
Not only will you lose a shit load of water weight/muscle, you will lose some fat.
Read the sticky, create a diet with meals and macros, then post and we will critique.

K well im thinking something like

meal 1) one whole egg, 3-5 egg whites, maybe with cheese and chopped onions
meal 2) can of tuna with small ammount of cheese, onions, and green peppers
meal 3) same as meal 2
That will take me up until around 6 oclock on days i have practice or 4 if i have work
meal 4) maybe turkey slices after practice, maybe nothing after work, as i get home at around 11.
i also have vegetable supplements, in capsole form.

Bro you're going to starve to death off of that diet or lack there-of.

For someone your size/weight and activity level you probably need somewhere in the ballpark of 2000-2400 calories/day to hold Muscle tissue and lose BF. I know 110lb girls who eat more than what you just listed and still lose weight.

ya come on man, try and get in 6 good meals with a couple cups of green veggies. Do something like this:

    MEAL 1:
    pro/carb
1 cup oats list macros (cals, fats, carbs, protein)
    10 egg whites

    MEAL 2:
    pro/fat
    1 can tuna
    1 tb of flax

    etc. etc......

after viewing the ammount of egg whites i put in, it is actually around 10, along with a whole egg.

    so will this work

    12:00 pm
Meal 1) 1 whole egg, 10-12 egg white with onions and cheese, carrots on the side.
    3:00 pm
meal 2) One tin of tuna, with light mayo, dejon mustard, onions, green peppers, with some cheese, and turkey slices on the side. with vegetables on the side... undecided what to have
    6:00 pm
meal 3) Same as meal 2
    9:30-10 pm
    meal 4) turkey slices

Times could vary depending on days i have work, that is a schedule for football. i practice 7-9, and work closing 5-10 or ?-7.

How can I help when you don't accept advice?

Not sure if its registering but the best thing to do here is increase your cals and not just any cals for that matter. As the guys suggested above, you really should catch up first and read as much as possible in the forum. Off the bat, I can tell you the layout you posted above will put a major dent into your football performance. And losing 20lbs within a short-time framework is never a good idea.
    Just something to ponder.

honestly it wont effect my performance at all, i usually eat nothing or only one meal before practice. and whats wrong with that? obviously im new to this. But last year i got myself up to 255, and came down to 215, doing similar to this. Explain to me the ins and outs, as i dont know alot obviously

I'd suggest hiring a nutrionist or reading a book. ? Just a thought.

you really need to read the sticky threads in the diet forum so you can have a general idea of what your body needs.

carbohydrates are your body's most efficient form of fuel and you have zero carbs in the diet you posted.

there are 3 macronutrients carbs, fat, and protein. you need to get some of all 3 each day. the cutting sticky will tell you what kinds of food you should eat and what times you should eat them. read it then make up a diet and post it on here and we will help critique it.

where do you play football, I know its not a college team, so it must be a highschool team.

sooooooo EITHER you are a 5th year senior in HIGH SCHOOL, which is quite possible, cause you can't read the advice people are giving you, or you arent 18 which is probably the case. so Until you do turn 18 eat your tuna melt elsewhere.
