Does anyone know if its completely necessary to wear those tanning glasses while using the beds? Would just closing your eyes offer enough protection?
I'm curious because I'm not a big fan of having huge white rings around my eyes...

no because the rays can surpass your eyelids. whats more important, and extra 1/4inch of tanned area or your vision?

Lol was just a question boys.
Thats why I asked.
Or cover your face and tan it outside.
i have enver used goggles -
I usually do put a blanket over my head - i don't want wrinkle - but in all honestl from what i have not done this for - i know i have cause damage.
I have such a hard time seeing at night
If i was to go in the sunbed for 10 minutes i would wear the goggles for 8 minutes and take them off for the last 2, it works well....
but if you very protective of your vision keep them on at all times IMO.
Best to wear goggles.
i use these lil tinfoil cone things u kan buy for like a buck a hundred
they fit PERFECT on ur eyes INSIDE the ring made specially for STAND up Beds
^or they have the ones that are just alittle cup that just covers the eye socket. they have a name, but i can't remember it. there is no bridge or ties that go around your head just two little cups with a tint you can see thru, but don't let the harmful rays go thru it.
I put a paper towel over my face on a lie down sunbed.
Um would that even do anything? bugger!
I didnt wear goggles for a while and I literally watched my eyesight get worse over a four-five month period.
well that proves that theory....Originally Posted by neverenuff21
