High Liver Values From Bloodwork!!!

Hey everyone.

I just got my blood test results back.

Everything was fine except for my liver aka SGOT which was 122.

The normal range says (0-37) IU/L

I just finished up a 10 week var/proviron cycle at 40mg ED var/25mg proviron.

Has anyone had their liver values this high before?

I'm worried!!

I'm currently taking Milk Thistle and drinking lots of water.

It goes to show you that even a mild, steroid like VAR can fuk up your liver values.

Any input welcome.

BTW here's everything i'm currently taking.

CEE 1 scoop POST Workout.
1mg Finasteride.
500mg Milk Thistle
50mg Proviron.
1 Multi-Vitamin

I'm not even running var anymore.

What could it be from?

yup, my cholesterol and BP were the only probs.

600mg deca
500mg cyp
40mg dbol 1-4
100mg var 6-14

in week 7

Probly from any orals. Just lay off and eat healthy until it returns to normal.

and bumped up to 50mg proviron during PCT.

This is why orals should be taken around 4-5 weeks,it`s better to do a strong oral like Dbol for 4 weeks than to take Var for 10 weeks,your liver recovers much better in shorter cycles.

I took VAR on my last cycle. Last 3 weeks. I stopped early because the VAR,
(a supposed "mild" aas) caused more BP issues, insomnia, headaches, back pumps, etc., then I experienced with Dbol and Tbol. BUT, that's just me.

I will never use orals of any kind again. Var works great but for me it's not worth the sides, especially my liver. My Dr. did say that in time (90days)
and a clean diet, my values would most likely come down to the normal range.
The liver is one tough SOB, so be patient and redo bloodwork in 6 weeks or so.

Bump the milk thistle up to 1000 mg and wait another month or so and get blood tests done again.

The liver is the most foregiving organ in the body. Stop and in a few weeks things will be much better.

I was wondering if you had any syptoms, sides, like dark urine, yellor skin,
bloodshot eyes, pain in stomach area?

I've been taking var for about 10 weeks.

I see nothing real hepatotoxic here Smak, can you think of any other behaviors that might cause this? Also I would not get too in a panic, I would want this test replicated before worrying too much. Good luck and keep us posted.

The only real sign I had was chronic fatigue.

I was tired all the time even after I took a nap.

No dark urine, jaundice, bloodshot eyes, and pain in stomach.

Occassionally my stomach would twitch a little.

Bumping the Milk Thistle to 1000g ed won't put more stress on it?

I've always been a big advocate of running Milk Thistle during my course of a cycle, but now I'm starting to beg differ?

My dad told me I should drop everything i'm taking and get it checked out in a month.

He even told me to give up the Finasteride.

Would this be stressful on the liver?

For my .02 I would go get it re-tested with no changes in intake, labs make mistakes, there are fluctuations to contend with(although I would say your levels are beyond that of a normal fluctutation)and just errors in general. If it comes back still skewed dump every thing, even the super high protein intake we use, get some liv-52 continue with milk thislte and eat healthy with lots of cruciferous vegatables and trust your Dr.

I had my levels at 110. I read an article by Mike Mentzer. He said to take L-Glutathione and Calcium D Chlorate. I took both of them for 6 months and i also kept taking AAS. Did my blood work again and its down in the 40's. Hope this helps.

I'm thinking the Proviron could be adding to the problem as well.

I'm running 50mg right now for 2 weeks with 20mg nolvadex.

I'm going to bump my milk thistle intake to 1000mg ed.

I also take the ephedrine/Caffeine stack, but decided to drop it for a while.

since ephedrine puts some stress on the liver also.

What do you think?

your liver fucntions are high, but they are NOT THAT HIGH, dont stop taking milk thistle, and i hope you arent taking crap for walgreeens..you need top quality stuff, standardized. your liver will go back to normal, just relax, do not stop taking finasteride either, now that you are off the cycle your oiver will go back to normal, i am just concerned about the quality and potency of the milk thistle you are taking. all of this is IMO, im not not a doctor.

ok just read your post, you can THROW THAT MILK THISTLE FROM WALGREENS IN THE TRASH, b/c that is what it is. you need to go to a real health food store, never buy herbs from these places, they are cheaper for a reason, you get what you pay for bro.
