go get highlights. it increases the sexy factor by at least 2 fold. the women really love it. i usually hit mine in the summer. it looks good in contrast with a tan. it just says "im sexy". Also. ask the stylest to give you a "marbled" look. there are definate do's and donts good buddy of getting highlights. just tell her you want the streaks a little lighter than your hair, but not BLOND blond. Go easy the first time, then slowly increase. They darken back week to week. So after 2 weeks you may need another visit. Tell her you dont wanna look like an idiot.
or try using some peroxide, or using a spray in lightener like sun in.
i am looking to lighten it only and not to highlight it..peaceOriginally Posted by donniebrasco
then look for some type of spray in lightener. on the uk we have something called sun in. you spray it on and sit in the sun, or use a hair dryer ( which isnt as effective)
yeah i know sun in but there is orange and yellow ones i believe, which one should i use and how it works?Originally Posted by donniebrasco
spray the shit in your hair and then blow dry it on hot but becareful the effects can be drastic.
I need t know ur natural colour before any suggestions can be made
go to the hardware store and get yellow paint, mix it w/ some bleach and hairspray. Sit in the tanning bed with it on your hair for about 12 minutes, then go home and wash it off. It works great!!
salon is best option to be honest.
But at home things - we need to know colour of your hair, texture, is it already colour etc
it was light brown but now it became dark ,i never coloured it before and dont want to..thxOriginally Posted by Mizfit
Best advise. I hear over the counter store products are really rough on your hair so i would stay away from them.Originally Posted by Mizfit

what is your natural hair color? If it is light, then squeeze some lemons in it, and sit out in the sun, you will notice it get lighter. IMO highlights are so 10 yrs ago..
my hair colour is moderate brown..Originally Posted by kman
just check out sun in, they are probably 2 types ( different strengths ) decide how drastic you want the change and buy the appropriate ones. its like the lemon thing posted above but stronger..

can i use a hair dryer, also can i use sun in and control its use to get the desired colour?Originally Posted by Mizfit
Sun in can lighten it. Just be carefull, and monitor it.
Otherwise I'd get it professionally coloured, or give up on the idea of having lighter hair.
how many times should i use sun in for very mild effects ?
just lemon juice really works?Originally Posted by Mizfit
Depending on how mild, one day could be enough.Originally Posted by fitguy
