Sen. Clinton Says It's Great Obama Is Weighing 2008 White House Run
WATERVLIET, N.Y. — Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton said Monday that it was great her fellow Democrat, Sen. Barack Obama, is thinking about running for president.

Polls show Clinton is the front-runner among potential 2008 Democratic presidential contenders and she said Friday during a debate that she has also been thinking about running.

"I think it's great that anybody thinks about whatever they want to do in the future," she said when asked about Obama during a campaign stop at a senior citizens' center just north of Albany.

"I'm focused on my campaign. I'm focused on reaching as many voters as possible, talking about the issues," she added. "And, that's what I'm going to be doing for the next few weeks."

Polls show Clinton far ahead of her Republican challenger in New York, former Yonkers Mayor John Spencer.

Clinton, during a debate Friday night against Spencer in Rochester, said she has been thinking about running for president but has made no decision about that. She said if that bothered New York voters, they should consider it when they go to vote next month.

Obama said during an appearance on NBC's "Meet the Press" on Sunday that he was thinking about running for president. The Illinois Democrat was largely unknown nationally when he delivered a widely acclaimed address at the 2004 Democratic National Convention

Seems reasonable so far but has been in politics for a couple years. So he doesn't have a long track record or much experience.

Agreed, he is very charismatic, but has no track record, and his policies are unclear.

Not to sound racist, but I can't help but wonder how biased his policies would be towards minorities simply by pressure from his base voting group.

Of course ALL politicians do this, but until a community of people can contribute more than they spend, I don't like the idea of providing MORE benefit to them. I question Obama's thoughts on this.

The black unemployment rate is around 10% in the US, most of which being single mothers who probably don't vote anyways. That means it's OK to label the other 90% as employed non-taxpaying people, right? That means it's OK to say that they shouldn't be allowed to say how their tax money is being spent, right?

Nothing in the world is more dangerous than sincere ignorance and consciencious stupidity.

When did i say black people? I said unemployed people. Meaning white, black, Asian what ever. I think we should run the US like a business. The more taxes you pay the more shares you should have. Or say. I know it will never be like that but its just my opinion.

You said you agreed with phreaks statement so I assumed you meant the same thing as him. I apologize for including you in my post.

No problem script. I agreed with this statement. Which i don't think its racial. It says all politicians and any community. The community i spoke about was the unemployed.

In case you missed it this was the racist part:
but until a community of people can contribute more than they spend (i.e. his base voting group: blacks), I don't like the idea of providing MORE benefit to them

I can see why you think that. And maybe thats what he meant. I was reading the 2 statements in his post as 2 different statement. Not 1 statement leading into the second.

But as long as i cleared up what i meant
