    There was a thread about why we 'chose' our user names a while back..Maybe when i first joined AR.

    I explained it then. I'll explain the rationale.

    Narkissos is an alternate spelling of the above youth you noted. That part is correct.

    My reason for choosing it isn't because i thought it was fitting to my persona.

    Actually it is my alter-ego (despite what BajanBastard thinks )

    For years, people would never give me a chance... never tried to get to know me because they'd look at me from afar and assume i was vain.

    Up to today.. i hung out with a chick i met for the very first time.

    We talked for almost 8 hours this evening. At the end of the evening she admitted that when she first saw me today she thought i was stuck up.

    It's just an aura i seem to give off she said... but after talking with me..hanging with me, she realised that i was down to earth

    This has been happening all my life...

    When i first came to the forums..it was to get a pic of me that someone had used without my permission removed from a board.

    My username was my real name.

    I didn't know any of the posters.. but they 'knew' me by seeing me around.

    They flamed me to hell and back... saying how Narcissistic i was because i didn't socialise.. or drink... How my keeping to myself obviously meant i thought i was better than them etc.

    Truth was.. i keep to myself because i really don't fit in..and furthermore i've never been invited into the cliques. My lifestyle...is intimidating to say the least.

    I changed my username to Narkissos... got tired being labelled... Got tired caring. Adopted the label myself.. and decided to issue a sweet fuck you to those who obviously inflated my importance by gossiping about me.



    That's the story of Narkissos
