now that 50 split the gym everybody wanna lift weights

big statement, but i do think 50 cent contributed a large influence on the world to lift weights and made muscles "cool" to a extent, just look at the influence he has had on other hiphop influences. sure theres been plenty of artists that were jacked LL for one. but since 50 blew with get rich or die trying every one is getting big and in good shape. and people in general are all now lifting weights. i dunno if its just the areas i have lived in but since 50 came out every one wants to be huge. not saying he had a effect on me but i beleive he did on alot. discuss cause i thought it a few times and i think its correct to a extent.

I dont think thats true. I think more people started hitting the gym and cleaning up their diets a tad because of the increased research in obesity/heart disease etc. ( general public) if you go back 5-7 years ago there was no real Trans fat issue or overweight kids. It the news media and such not 50 cent

    yeh since he left.
meaning after he reached his biggest size and shape. and dropped get rich or die trying (cd)

I think that theory is bunk. he might have had an influence on a few people to get in shape, but everybody?? c'mon man.

I don't think he had anything to do with people going to the gym. Don't see the connection at all. Maybe a few of his boys but not the general public.

50 cent is the absolute worst thing that ever happened to hip hop. He's complete garbage. He sells records because he can sing hooks and he's marketed to look like a gangster.

And no, I do not agree that 50 influenced anything more than a small number of people to workout. He's not even big.

If that theory were true, then you could say people like Vin Diesel, and The Rock also influenced people too.

  31. #31
vin diesel and the rock are no where near as big of a influence i dare say

look at all the kids 14-21 who listen to hiphop/rap (50 cent) and lift weights. most wouldnt have before 50 i do think so. i strongly say he did make it cool again in rap to be big and good.. taking ya shirt off and wearing singlets wasnt still popular in music videos since 50 is huge they all getting big and taking the shirts off is my opinion
